Deer and Deer Hounds in the Room in which Shakespere was Born (Tate Britain, 2026)

The beasts have been released and the hounds have found the doe.

Fear squeals in heoinous panic as fury pours from the wrinkled eyes of the black monsters. This room is quiet, blooming - a mild sunny spring day. And yet chaos and horror intertwine with crimson tides in the centre of this space.

It seems that they have come from nowhere. Peace exists at the edges; by the mantle, the window sills, the corners. I am forced to watch. From this velvet chair. I am not able to help or move. Paralysed at the mercy of this ever lasting savagery.
